All year I've been looking forward to our trip to the Yucatán Peninsula. Every year I try to lead students (and parents and fellow teachers) on an international adventure, usually to a Latin American country. Last year was Perú, the year before Ecuador, and this year México--specifically Yucatán. Part of this tradition is the creation of a "team shirt." This is a fun opportunity to put my drawing skills to use. So, here I present an example in the glorious Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá, from ink drawing to shirt, to reality.

Aside from visiting ruins and enjoying the sun, the marine biology part of our adventure involved snorkeling at Akumal Beach and spotting (but not touching) sea turtles.

Great silk screen work by Dark Horse Ink (thanks Zach!)

And here I pose touristly before the majestic pyramid.
